From three firms to a leading responsible IT company

Before 2026 Koevoo

Koevoo established itself as a reference for operational, eco-responsible IT: open-source solutions, low-footprint hosting, certified refurbished hardware, and training in responsible digital practices.

  • Open-source solutions for SMBs and mid-size enterprises
  • Certified refurbished hardware with ITAD partner traceability
  • Low-carbon hosting in France and Europe
  • Team training on responsible digital practices
Before 2026 Kinsa Consultants

Kinsa Consultants guided organisations on the strategic and organisational dimensions of their IT: IT governance, business alignment, budget oversight and regulatory compliance.

  • IT governance and strategic roadmaps
  • Technology alignment with business objectives
  • GDPR, NIS2 compliance and risk management
  • Translating tech challenges into executive-level decisions
Before 2026 Koonex

Koonex was the reference for deploying sovereign alternative solutions: email, collaboration, storage and document management outside major proprietary cloud platforms.

  • Migration to sovereign alternatives (Nextcloud, Jitsi, Matrix...)
  • Architectures keeping organisations in control of their data
  • Supporting CIOs through their independence transition
  • Hosting infrastructure and on-premise expertise
2026 Ekuity

Facing a shared observation — organisations need a comprehensive IT partner capable of addressing strategy, operations, security and responsible transition — the three founders chose to merge.

  • Merger of three firms, birth of Ekuity
  • Full offering: from IT strategy to the ko- collaborative suite
  • Coverage of all profiles: SMBs, enterprises, public sector
  • Mission: become the reference for responsible IT in France

Why “Ekuity”?

The name Ekuity carries the meaning of equity. The distinction matters to us: equality means giving everyone the same thing, regardless of their situation. Equity means adapting the treatment so that everyone genuinely has the same chance of reaching the outcome.

The outcome we aim for is always the same: the most sovereignty — in the sense of technological independence —, the lowest environmental impact, and the most accessibility, security and performance possible, on a minimal budget.

To get there, every step must be adapted so that each organisation receives exactly what it needs to reach that same outcome. Behind Ekuity lies the idea of simplified, tailored access to technology, carried by personalised support, so that performance, ecology and economy finally meet.

Frequently asked questions

Why did Kinsa Consultants, Koevoo and Koonex merge?
The three founders shared a common conviction: organisations need a comprehensive IT partner capable of addressing strategy, operations, security, and responsible transition together. Each firm covered one dimension of that need. Merging made it possible to offer a complete, coherent response — free from the gaps of any single-specialty provider.
What did each of the three founding firms bring?
Kinsa Consultants (founded 2001) brought expertise in IT infrastructure, hardware deployment, and operational management. Koonex (2013) brought deep knowledge of sovereign alternative solutions, open-source migrations, and independent hosting architectures. Koevoo (2021) brought its eco-responsible approach, refurbished hardware expertise, and training in sustainable digital practices. The merger made a unified offering across all three dimensions possible.
Is Ekuity a startup or an established company?
Ekuity is a mission-driven company founded in 2026, but led by teams with respectively 5, 13, and 25 years of experience in their fields. The founders are IT practitioners who built their firms steadily, then merged to go further together. We are not looking for a next pivot — we are building to last.
What are Ekuity's ambitions for the coming years?
Our ambition is to become the reference for responsible IT in France. Our development prioritises quality of service over growth at any cost. We are not trying to become a global player: we are trying to be the best possible partner for French organisations that want performant, sovereign, and sustainable IT.
What does the name Ekuity mean?
Ekuity carries the meaning of equity. Equality means giving everyone the same thing, regardless of their situation. Equity means adapting the treatment so that everyone genuinely has the same chance of reaching the intended outcome. For us, that outcome is always the same: the most sovereignty — in the sense of technological independence —, the lowest environmental impact, and the most accessibility, security and performance possible, on a minimal budget. That is why we adapt every step so each organisation receives exactly what it needs to get there. Behind Ekuity lies the idea of simplified, tailored access to technology, with personalised support, so that performance, ecology and economy finally meet.
How is Ekuity spelled and pronounced?
The official name is spelled Ekuity. It is pronounced like the English word "equity". It is sometimes written with close spellings — equity, ekuiti, ekwity or ékuity: it always refers to the same company, Ekuity, a specialist in sovereign and responsible IT.
