Why an IT audit?

IT that “works” can hide unnecessary costs, outage risks or a heavy dependency on one person or supplier. An audit gives management an objective picture before an important decision: growth, the departure of an IT lead, a merger, contract renewals or a change of provider.

EKUITY takes no commission on what you buy: the audit describes your situation as it is, not as a supplier would like to present it.

How the audit works

  1. Scoping: interviews with management and teams, scope and priorities.
  2. Collection and analysis: technical inventory, documentation, contracts, site visit if needed.
  3. Findings: observations, risks and priorities presented to management, without jargon.
  4. Action plan: costed, sequenced actions that you can carry out with EKUITY, with your current provider or in-house.

What you receive

  • An audit report and a map of your information system
  • A risk matrix, ranked by severity and urgency
  • A costed action plan over 1 to 3 years
  • A summary for management or the board

Who is it for?

  • Small businesses without a CIO who want to know where they stand before investing.
  • Mid-sized companies with an IT department who want an external, independent view.
  • Local authorities, before launching a tender or renewing a managed services contract.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an IT audit take?
It depends on the scope: number of sites, workstations, applications and providers. It is set with you during scoping, before any commitment.
Is the audit really independent?
Yes. EKUITY takes no commission on what you buy. The action plan is written so that any provider can carry it out, including your current provider or your own teams.
What happens after the audit?
You remain free. You can carry out the action plan in-house, with your provider, or with EKUITY, for example with EKUITY’s outsourced IT department and kodir, its part-time CIO.
How is it different from a cybersecurity audit?
The IT audit covers the whole information system: infrastructure, applications, costs, contracts and risks. The cybersecurity audit goes deeper into security: penetration tests, vulnerabilities and NIS2 compliance.
